- Fixed in PixEncoder Pro: the days left shown on Licence & Updates counted a part day as a whole one, so a licence could show more days than it had. It now shows the whole days left before the expiry date.

- Added in PixEncoder Pro: drag an image's thumbnail from the Images list onto your desktop or into a folder to save a copy of it. You get exactly the file shown in that row, under its own name.
- This works in Chrome and Edge. Firefox and Safari do not support it.

- Only one of PixEncoder and PixEncoder Pro can be active at a time. Activating Pro now deactivates the free plugin and leaves its files in place, instead of removing them, and activating the free plugin deactivates Pro. A notice says which one took over.
- Fixed: the notes under a file name on the Images screen no longer break in the middle of a word.
- The free plugin is now 0.1.1. It has the progress window and background working from 0.1.9, and beside the logo one line says what PixEncoder Pro adds.

- Optimising or restoring several images opens a progress window showing the file in hand, how many are done and the space saved so far.
- A Work in the background button in that window, whenever more than one image is selected. The window closes and a bar beside the logo shows the progress on every PixEncoder tab. When the run ends the list refreshes and "Background task completed." shows for a few seconds.
- A Stop button in the window and on the bar. The image in hand is finished first.
- Images that could not be converted are listed with the reason when the run ends.

- An Unlock Pro Features button beside the logo on every tab while the site has no licence.
- With no valid licence, the banner on Licence & Updates reads "No valid licence. Only basic features are enabled." instead of "Free version".
- The Pro tags on locked features carry a padlock, sit in the same place on each Dashboard card and keep their full colour beside a locked setting.
- The Spelling card on the Dashboard shows the count only. The misspelt words are no longer listed on it; they are still marked under the Title and Alt boxes on the Images screen.
- A licence key issued for another site is now refused with "This Licence Key is invalid on (your site) because it is registered to a different domain."
- Error messages now fade away after eight seconds, as success messages do after five.
- Fixed: with no licence or trial, the misspelt words on the Dashboard and the spell checker on the Images screen were still switched on.
- Fixed: the pencil and info icons no longer drop under a long file name on the Images screen.

- PixEncoder is now two plugins built from the same code. PixEncoder is the free plugin: WebP conversion, delivery, Restore, the Images screen, renaming, the Media | Optimized switch and the Dashboard, with no licence, trial or update check. PixEncoder Pro is a plugin of its own: everything in the free plugin plus the Pro features, the licence, the trial and updates from techdirectstudio.com.
- Activating PixEncoder Pro switches off the free PixEncoder plugin and removes its files. Its settings, the record of each image and the images themselves are kept.
- Uninstalling PixEncoder Pro removes the licence and the update records only. The settings and image records stay, so the free plugin can be installed and carry on.
- On Settings, "Discard a WebP/AVIF copy if it is bigger than the original" has moved from Originals to Formats.
- The free plugin starts at version 0.1.0. These notes follow PixEncoder Pro.

- The help text on the Images screen has moved into a popup, opened by a Help button beside Delete selected.

- Check for updates now shows its answer in PixEncoder's own dialog instead of the browser's. The questions asked before restoring images use the same dialog.
- On Licence & Updates, the box for entering a licence key is open whenever the site has no working licence. It is folded away only while a valid licence is active.
- A saved key that is not valid is no longer listed as a licence. The Licence card shows it in its own box with a Remove this key button.
- Success messages fade away after five seconds. Error messages stay until they are closed.
- Fixed: the message shown after activating or removing a licence, or starting the trial, appeared again each time the page was refreshed.
- The "This site" line under the licence key box has been removed.

- A Copy screenshot button in the full-size view. It copies the image and its details as one picture, ready to paste into an AI chat. It replaces Copy all details.
- A US spelling switch in Settings for PixEncoder's own wording (Optimise or Optimize, Licence or License). It starts switched on for sites set to English (United States).
- No alt text and Title to improve checkboxes beside the search box on the Images screen (Pro). Tick one to list only those images, or both for images that need both. Each shows its count, and the free edition shows the counts too.
- The Pro trial is now registered with techdirectstudio.com when it is started: the site's domain, with the date and time. Each domain gets one trial, and if the site cannot reach techdirectstudio.com the trial does not start.
- On the Images screen, the All, Not converted, Converted and Skipped links now sit on the tab row, the action buttons sit beside the Media | Optimized switch, and the search box runs the full width beneath them.
- In the free edition, the Title and Alt text boxes no longer show the browser's red spelling underline. Marking misspelt words is part of the Pro spell checker; the Dashboard still counts them.
- The Dashboard's Not optimized and Optimized cards are now named Unoptimized Images and Optimized Images.
- The banner on Licence & Updates reads Free version when the site has no valid licence, instead of a red warning. A saved key that is not valid is still flagged on the Licence card.

- Free and Pro editions. Converting to WebP, delivery, backups and the safety features are free. AVIF, compressing originals, automatic optimizing of uploads, link updating when you rename, the spell checker, CSV export and the Dashboard lists are Pro.
- Renaming is in both editions. Free renames the file. Pro also finds every page, template and setting that uses the image, lists them and updates them to the new name.
- A 7-day Pro trial, started from Licence & Updates. One per site, with no payment details.
- A Free and Pro comparison page, linked from Licence & Updates.
- Pro settings show a Pro tag in the free edition and keep their saved values, so nothing is lost when a trial or licence ends.

- Dashboard cards for missing alt text, titles that are still the file name, and spelling mistakes. Click one to list just those images.
- Spell checker for the Title and Alt boxes, in UK or US English to match your site, with suggestions, Add to dictionary and Ignore.
- Rename an image's file from the Images screen. Every page, template and setting that uses it is listed and updated to the new name.
- Drag images from your computer onto the Images screen to upload them.
- Copy buttons for the file name, title and alt text in the full-size view, and Copy all details. Copied text is always plain.
- An info icon beside each file name, with a guide and ready-made prompt for naming images with AI.
- Search in the Insert media window matches alt text, title and file name.
- Deleting an original now moves every page, carousel and layout that used it to its WebP copy.
- Elementor layouts are checked after every save, so images that were deleted or renamed keep working.
- The alt text box grows to show all of its text, and alt text is saved as a sentence with a full stop.
- Rows for images that are already optimized are dimmed.
- Buttons, links and checkboxes use the PixEncoder purple.
- Fixed: editing an existing gallery or carousel showed No items found when its images were in the Optimized folder.
- Fixed: page caches are emptied after a rename or delete.

- Delete button: a bin in the new Trash column, with a confirmation that shows the image and says exactly what will be deleted and what is kept.
- Sort the Images list by File name or File size. Click the heading again to reverse the order.
- Adjustable column widths: drag the line at the edge of a column heading. Double-click the line to reset the column.
- Image counts on both sides of the Media | Optimized switch.
- WebP images you upload yourself now appear in the Optimized folder, marked Uploaded as WebP.
- The PixEncoder logo now heads each screen, with the version in a pill, and the Images help text sits in a box beside it.
- Fixed: the checkboxes in the Images list line up with the header checkbox.
