What's new in Trust Armory.

Every version, newest first. Updates are delivered through your WordPress dashboard.

Version 2.1.8

Added
Latest

Released

Added:

  1. Border settings for the Accept, Reject and Manage Preferences buttons, on the Banner tab under Look and Feel.
  2. Button Border Colour and Button Border Hover Colour. Left clear, the buttons keep their automatic borders.
  3. Button Border Thickness, set separately for the top, bottom, left and right of the buttons, normally and on hover. A "Same on all sides" tick box changes all four together.
  4. Button Border Radius, set separately for each corner of the buttons, normally and on hover. A "Same on all corners" tick box changes all four together.
  5. On hover, any thickness or radius left blank keeps its normal value.

Changed:

  1. Button border thickness and radius also apply to the buttons in the Cookie Preferences window, and now take priority over a theme's or page builder's own button styling.
  2. Tested up to WordPress 7.1.3.

Version 2.1.7

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. Reworded the notice shown when a revoked licence key has been removed.

Version 2.1.6

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. Reworded the description on the Licence page's Licence Server Connection card.

Version 2.1.5

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. The Test connection success message now reads "Connection to the TechDirect Studio server was successful."

Version 2.1.4

Added

Released

Added:

  1. A Test connection button on the Licence page, with a traffic light, to check whether your site can reach the licence server. It sends no licence key, so it shows whether a problem is the connection or the key. It only runs when clicked and nothing is stored.

Changed:

  1. Activating a licence key now registers it with the TechDirect Studio licence server. If the server can't be reached, the key is not saved and a message says so.

Version 2.1.3

Added

Released

Added:

  1. Revoked licences are now honoured. If your site's licence has been revoked, the key is removed and Trust Armory drops back to the free version, with a notice explaining why. Settings and consent records are not touched.
  2. A revoked licence key can no longer be activated.

Version 2.1.2

Fixed

Released

Fixed:

  1. The "Cookie Preferences" title in the preferences window is no longer an H2 heading, so it stays out of the page's heading structure and does not affect SEO. Screen readers still announce it as the window's title.

Version 2.1.1

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. Data Requests page layout: the requests list now uses the full width, with the request form and Settings cards side by side underneath.

Version 2.1.0

Added

Released

Added:

  1. Data Requests (Pro). Visitors can ask for a copy of their data, its deletion or correction, or withdraw their consent, using the [trust_armory_data_request] shortcode. They confirm their email address first, then each request appears in a new Data Requests tab with its legal one-month deadline, a countdown and a full history.
  2. One-click data export (a zip with a readable report and a JSON file) and erasure, using WordPress's built-in privacy tools, so every plugin that supports them is covered (Pro).
  3. A database search that finds the requester's email address in any table, including plugins that don't support the WordPress privacy tools. It only finds; nothing is changed (Pro).
  4. A checklist of the places you keep data outside WordPress, such as a mailing list, payment provider or CRM, shown on every request so nothing is forgotten (Pro).
  5. Email the requester from the request page, extend the deadline with a reason, and add notes, all recorded in the request's history (Pro).

Version 2.0.12

Added

Released

Added:

  1. The consent choice can be shared across subdomains (for example example.com and shop.example.com), so visitors only choose once. Developers turn it on with the trust_armory_cookie_domain filter. Off by default.

Changed:

  1. The saved consent cookie is now read before the copy in the browser's local storage.

Version 2.0.11

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. The Plugins page now shows "By TechDirect Studio", linking to techdirectstudio.com.
  2. Tested up to WordPress 7.1.2.

Version 2.0.10

Fixed

Released

Fixed:

  1. After updating Trust Armory Pro, especially from the "View version details" popup, the Plugins page could still show the update as available even though the new version was installed.

Version 2.0.9

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. The "protect before updating" prompt now names the plugin it is asking about, with its version, and scrolls that plugin's row into view.

Version 2.0.8

Fixed

Released

Fixed:

  1. The "View version details" update popup now shows the release banner image sent by the update server.
  2. The popup's Changelog tab now shows formatted text instead of raw HTML tags.

Version 2.0.7

Fixed

Released

Fixed:

  1. Clicking Update Now on a plugin while another plugin was still being protected or updated could skip the "protect before updating" prompt and update straight away. Update clicks made during another protect or update now show "Queued…" and wait their turn.

Version 2.0.6

Pro release

Released

Added:

  1. First release of Trust Armory Pro.

Version 2.0.4

Added

Released

Added:

  1. A Button Hover Colour field in Settings > Banner, so the background and text of the banner buttons can be set separately on hover. It applies to Accept and to the Reject and Manage Preferences buttons.

Version 2.0.3

Added

Released

Added:

  1. A Button Text Hover Colour field in Settings > Banner. The Accept, Reject and Manage Preferences buttons now dim slightly and switch to this text colour when hovered.

Version 2.0.2

Fixed

Released

Fixed:

  1. The colour-picker swatches in Settings > Banner (Background, Text and Accent/Button Colour) always appeared blank, whatever colour was saved.

Version 2.0.1

Changed

Released

Changed:

  1. Dashboard layout customisation (drag to rearrange, collapse cards) is now Pro only. Free shows a fixed card order; Pro keeps the layout you arrange.
  2. Removed the limit on the number of backups in Protected Updates. Creating, downloading and deleting backups is unlimited on Free and Pro; bulk "Protect all plugins" and one-click rollback remain Pro only.
